Lice As Pets NOT!
PostedI have had a few people say to me why is your nickname Grumpy you don't seem Grumpy.
Well let's just say I try hard to not let the little things get to me, However in my past few postings you can see why I have the nickname Grumpy as it just seems like one thing after another.
Okay, Can you say OMGosh!

I am so pissed off! About a week ago my 10 year old daughter wanted to join in on a girls sleep over at this friends house. (whom seem to have the LICE a few times a year).
We told our daughter no way she was not sleeping there. Then we say the puppy eyes and the begging started. She begged saying" but I haven't seen her scratching in a long time". Pleaseeee let me go.
Needless to say we did. And now we are paying for it. We caught the lice. Not only did our 10 year old get it but it was so nicely passed on to our other children.
So there went $100.00 out the window.
1 bottle per per me and my husband(included second treatment.
2 bottles for all three kids (Including second treatment.
2 cans of house spray
1 nit comb -Use after you cut the strand of hair with the nit on it. Don't pull it as you will lose it halfway done the strand.
I haven't been blogging because I have been going through hair over and over again for days to make sure the lice is all gone.
Not to mention the laundry from bedding's and such.
My poor kids are so sick of me searching their heads.
But the cycle is if I miss even one nit then we are still stuck with more lice.
I must say the bugs are gone. I have done more than enough to make sure of that.
Now this is what I don't get. Why is it that some people just can't get rid of the lice problem. I mean really I am starting to think they like them and don't mind them being part of the family, like family pets.
Hey I will name you George and you Betty and.....
Come on! Clean your kids. These bugs bite and itch and crawl everywhere. And people like us don't want your pets.
Also I have heard that some parents say "well I have no one to clean my head". Well do the treatment comb with the nit comb. Over and over again and then wash with Nizoral shampoo. It will help kill anything that you missed if used twice a week for three weeks.
I have done my research on this.
Well one lesson learned is I don't think I will see those puppy dog eyes to sleep over at this friends house again.

You know, I think that all parents have to face this situation at one time or another. Something similar happened to us when our daughter was younger. Someone at school had it and it spread through the class. Then came home to roost, literally. Glad that you seem to have it under control now. Still doesn't help with the aggravation of it though.
Yah I believe it is gone. I keep seaching their heads though and will for a long time now.
I don't get it I never had lice when I went to school. Now it seems it is common.
Like I said in my post. Come on people they are not pets. Quit breading the darn things.
Head lice seem to magically appear as soon as your kid goes to school. The problem is there is always one poor kid in the class whose parents can't be bothered to get rid of them. Arrrgh! Strangely enoigh lice problem magically disappears when they go to secondary school. I have only one more question: we can effectively kill our pets' flees with application of whatever and prevent them coming back with "spot on". Why on earth we cannot produce something like that for lice!? Guess pharmacy industry would loose too much profit from those products...

I too believe that they would loose too much profit. As I also heard there was a new blow dryer that the kids use at some schools not sure what schools and it is being tested. This was a few years ago. I don't understand why they don't have it in all schools yet.
Only thing I can think of is again loosing profit.
